Wonderful- bittersweet and velvety. I also reduced the marmalade to 2 bar spoons, mine were rather heaping, so probably came out to 4 bsps anyway, lol. To fully incorporate the marmalade, I put all ingredients in a bullet blender for several seconds, then poured over ice in a mixing glass and stirred about 20 secs. Strained into coupe and it came out beautifully, no bits of peel at all.

It’s like melting apple, cherry and lime Jolly Ranchers and adding booze. And I mean that in the best way possible.

This is really good, what elevates the drink is both the mole bitters and the flamed orange peel. I’d never tried flaming a coin of peel before, so watched several YouTube videos and had pretty good success- it really does make a difference in the taste!

Fantastic drink, well balanced. Never would have put tequila and crème de cassis together, but trust a bartender from NOLA to add the perfect French touch.

So good, really enjoy this. My orgeat isn’t especially potent so I used the original equal parts recipe which I thought was perfect. Also passed the orange zest lightly around the edge of the glass and that was just enough orange fragrance.

Tried for the first time, agree it’s a delicious after supper sipper. Swapped in China-China for the Amer since I’m in the US, thought it worked great. May try the alternate measurements (45/45/10/10) next time I make it.
