Having been underwhelmed by the basic Brandy Alexander, I really enjoyed this.
Much more going on, and a.lovely mouthfeel.
I added dash of chocolate bitters too.

There’s no egg white in the list of ingredients, so wondering if DRY SHAKING should be removed from the instructions, or is it egg white that should be added to the ingredients?

Mixed a decent VSOP cognac for this cocktail, having just acquired Frangelico liqueur. The bottle evokes a monk with folded arms plus rope belt (yes, there is even a rope at the bottle's midriff!). Delicious - and the hazelnut flavour is a total revelation.

Being a fan of Alexanders and hazelnuts, this is outstanding. Great for after-dinner. Smooth, with a hint of hazelnuts and chocolate. The Cognac is great also.

Made this again, but added a few grates of fresh nutmeg in addition to the cocoa powder. Wonderful.

The proportions are spot on - combines chocolate and hazelnuts without bringing to mind Nutella.
