Ingredients: 7 fresh Basil leaves; 60 ml Vodka; 15 ml Limoncello liqueur; 15 ml Lemon juice; 15 ml Sugar syrup (2:1)

Serve in an Old-fashioned glass

Ingredients:
7 fresh	Basil leaves
2 fl oz	Ketel One Vodka
¹⁄₂ fl oz	Pallini Limoncello liqueur
¹⁄₂ fl oz	Lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
¹⁄₂ fl oz	Sugar syrup 'rich' (2 sugar to 1 water, 65.0°Brix)

Prepare:

Select and pre-chill an OLD-FASHIONED GLASS.
Prepare garnish of basil leaf.

How to make:

MUDDLE basil in base of shaker.
Add other ingredients and SHAKE with ice.
FINE STRAIN into glass filled with crushed ice.

Garnish:

Garnish with basil leaf.

I used an old bottle of 'limoncino' that I found under a chair in a seldom used room:) avoided the sweetness of limoncello (which I generally dislike) and made a very nice and complex drink. Never would have tried this if not for you Mr Difford & my scratch off 100 cocktail poster;)

This one is a bit too sweet and intense as written. I tried replacing the lemon juice with lime juice and the result was noticeably better balanced, allowing the basil and the limoncello's herbal notes to shine through.
