Ingredients:
1 12 fl oz Del Maguey Vida Clásico Mezcal
34 fl oz Passoã passion fruit liqueur
13 fl oz Monin Vanilla Syrup
1 fl oz Lime juice (freshly squeezed)
6 drop Hot pepper sauce (red vinegar-based e.g. Tabasco)
× 1 1 serving

Prepare:

  1. Select and pre-chill an OLD-FASHIONED GLASS.
  2. RIM glass with Tajín seasoning (moisten outside edge with lime or orange juice and drip into Tajín).

How to make:

  1. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  2. STRAIN into ice-filled glass.

Garnish:

  1. No additional garnish. (The preprepared rim is garnish enough.)

We love a fiery cocktail and tried this, in succession, with Tabasco (vinegar based), Sriracha (water based) and chilli tincture. For us, just one dash of the chilli tincture was perfect; the sauces imparted a flavour that interfered with the Mezcal and liqueur. If you love the flavour of passionfruit, our humble advice is to have one of these and give a wide berth to the ostentatiously overrated 'Pornstar' cocktails.

A tasty, spicy drink. I decided to serve it up to keep the spicy, smokey, fruity flavours and I think it was the correct choice. Very nice.

Love the flavours and the heat kick. Had to make my own vanilla syrup and dialled back the hot sauce by a drop or two. Will make this again.
