Serve in a Coupe glass

Ingredients:
1 23 oz Ketel One Vodka
13 oz Difford's Falernum liqueur
12 oz Lime juice (freshly squeezed)
23 oz Orange juice (freshly squeezed)
14 oz Monin Pure Cane Syrup (65.0°brix, equivalent to 2:1 rich syrup)
2 dash Angostura Aromatic Bitters
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Coupe glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of orange zest twist and grated nutmeg.
  3. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.
  5. EXPRESS orange zest twist over cocktail and discard.
  6. Garnish with dusting of nutmeg grated over cocktail.

Pretty good! Though mine was lacking the white foam seen in the photo. Is the recipe missing egg white, or did I just not shake for long enough? I also forgot to add the nutmeg which might've played a part in it. Still, very tasty and light.

This is one of my favourite cocktails, however, the original recipe is a little bit too sour for me, so I have switched the lime and orange juice volumes around and that's exactly the right balance for me.

Agreed! I've further “adapted” Dale’s recipe to the above. For the record, the previous recipe: 45 vodka, 22.5 falernum, 37.5 lime juice, 22.5 orange juice, 2 dash aromatic bitters.

This is delightfully refreshing and nicely sour. Perfectly balanced and a nice citrus and nutmeg highlights.
