Ingredients:
2 oz Bourbon whiskey
14 oz White crème de cacao liqueur
13 oz Giffard Menthe Pastille white crème de menthe
8 drop Chocolate bitters
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill an Old-fashioned glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of 70% cacoa chocolate and mint sprigs.
  3. STIR all ingredients with ice.
  4. STRAIN into glass filled with crushed ice.
  5. Garnish with square of chocolate and mint sprigs bouquet.

For me - the creme de menthe is to heavy handed and one-dimensional (vs. the Toronto, for example, where fernet brings something beside freshness). I'll need to try vs. the Midnight Stinger to see what I think. I've also had a rye and fernet variant on Negroni/Boulevardier called a Northern Standard that again, I think works better than creme de menthe here.

This is outstanding. A perfect after-dinner cocktail. Hints of mint and chocolate. The bourbon shines through all the flavors.
