Out of Drambuie. Benedictine worked well enough in it. Seems late to admit to this, but I absolutely adore Laphroaig as an accent ingredient, when used with a careful touch. Excellent recipe.

Super good. I was even a little timid with the peated whiskey and I didn’t need to be. Would have been even better with a smidgen more

Wonderful. The lime garnish is subtle but really makes this cocktail pop.

It's actually one of the better Nail riffs. The tequila and peated scotch combo is genius. It takes the agave and peppery notes from the tequila in a completely different direction than Mezcal would. The chocolate bitters aren't really present on the palate as "chocolate" but I think they help the scotch and tequila go together. Sweet, obviously, like all Nail cocktails tend to be, but not too sweet. Dilution is absolutely key.

This was very good. A lovely blend of all the components each one adding its own distinctive flavour.

I made a variation of this with 1 1/2 oz Del Maguey Vida 1/2 oz Ancho Reyes 1 oz Drambuie and 1 dash Xocolatl mole bitters. Very very nice.
