It's actually one of the better Nail riffs. The tequila and peated scotch combo is genius. It takes the agave and peppery notes from the tequila in a completely different direction than Mezcal would. The chocolate bitters aren't really present on the palate as "chocolate" but I think they help the scotch and tequila go together. Sweet, obviously, like all Nail cocktails tend to be, but not too sweet. Dilution is absolutely key.

This was very good. A lovely blend of all the components each one adding its own distinctive flavour.

I made a variation of this with 1 1/2 oz Del Maguey Vida 1/2 oz Ancho Reyes 1 oz Drambuie and 1 dash Xocolatl mole bitters. Very very nice.
