2 fl oz Light white rum (charcoal-filtered 1-4 years old)
1/3 fl oz Adriatico Amaretto Liqueur
1/6 fl oz Monin Almond (Orgeat) Syrup
1/4 fl oz Lime juice (freshly squeezed)
1/2 fl oz Pink grapefruit juice (freshly squeezed)

How to make

Serve in a Coupe glass

Method

  1. Select and pre-chill a COUPE GLASS.
  2. Prepare garnish of grapefruit wedge .
  3. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

Made with Probitas (aka Veritas). I found this to be good, but also unremarkable. It's indeed well-balanced, and quite tasty, it's just not anything special. I'd rather have a regular daiquiri, or a (Trader Vic's) Mai Tai if I want orgeat.

Very almond flavour forward. Tended to be a bit sweet, but we added 4 drops of Bob's Difford's Daiquiri Bitters and it did lessen the sweetness. The bitters also added some flavour notes which were not part of the original cocktail. Went wonderful with a beef and rice stir fry.
