Ingredients:
1 12 oz Bourbon whiskey
34 oz Cherry juice
34 oz Espresso coffee (freshly brewed & hot)
12 oz Monin Vanilla Syrup
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Coupe glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of chocolate shavings.
  3. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.
  5. Garnish with a dusting of chocolate shavings.

History:

Adapted from a recipe created by USA Speed Rack competition winner Haley Traub while competing in 2018. She was challenged to create a riff on an Espresso Martini and was inspired by her grandmother and her mother's black forest trifle dessert. Haley's original recipe (published in the 2024 book A Quick Drink: The Speed Rack Guide to Winning Cocktails for Any Mood) uses 15ml (½oz) of homemade vanilla demerara syrup.
