Made with Goslings, very tasty. Had sweet lime instead of the usual so bumped it up to 1/2 oz for extra tartness (lemon is essential too). A very different Daiquiri.

Used Myers's and all lime (out of lemon)... Rubber-y?... I think a lemon/lime split would help... Once it settles, it improves... Wouldn't be my go-to use for either dark rum or Cynar.

Only had Goslings 151 - added more simple syrup and did the shakin’ part for a full 25 sec to get more dilution. Result - very tasty, you get the rum flavor with a bit of bitterness from Cynar. I’ll make it again - but will drink slowly lol ;-)

The original calls for Cruzan blackstrap rum is a very different creature.

Thanks for pointing out. I have switched rums appropriately.
