Review:

Tequila replaces gin in this riff on the classic Last Word, with the amount of maraschino slightly reduced to accommodate the introduction of lavender syrup, which in turn is also balanced by a dash of lavender bitters.

I forgot to add the lime juice and I think it was better without. The lime covers up most of the floral flavors.

Had to improvise with the ingredients I had. Altos blanco tequila, Dolin Génépy, Luxardo maraschino, lavender syrup, lime juice, and six drops of that brand new bottle of Chartreuse Vegetal Elixer...Wow! ☆☆☆☆☆

Alright I confess. Since i don't like tequila, i made this with gin which is pretty much a last word. Truth is that I really wanted to try the lavender syrup and bitters. I really liked the lavender but I love a last word just as it is so I'll probably stick with that.

Great balance. Very flavourful cocktail. A bit last word and a bit margarita. Sweet hints. Wonderful tequila tastes come through the other ingredients. Would highly recommend.

Oh my! This is just wonderful. I love a Last Word, and this twist is fantastic. I was looking for a nice cocktail to try my lavender bitters & syrup and this has made its way into the top of my repertoire. Thank you, Mr Difford!

We love every variation of the last word but having no lavender syrup I substituted violette liquer. Delicious, with a slight floral violet note.

Delicious with violette liqueur! Especially with a maraschino from croatia which tastes much more like the real fruit than Luxardo. As I did not want to overpower the cocktail, I used 2 drops of Angostura instead of Lavender bitters.
