Midnight Cocktail
Dominique Migliorero, L'Art du Shaker, 1925
2 traits d'orange Bitter, 2/3 Whisky, 1/3 Chartreuse jaune.
Lovers of Scotch whisky and Chartreuse should only consider this spirit-forward, herbal cocktail. (It's more approachable when served in an old-fashioned glass over ice.)
Comments & Discussion
I used Whyte & MacKay blended Scotch which I tend to use for cocktails.
I tried both up and on the rocks and preferred up, though I shook a bit longer than usual
The Orange bitters elevate it…I used The Bitter Truth.
