Review:

Due to a lack of orange liqueur, this is not strictly a Margarita. However, the red wine float fits the name and sipping the underlying 'margarita' through this layer makes for a devilishly good drink.

Just made this with Dobonnet (U.S.) for the float. Intriguing, delicious. Will make again with a third less rich syrup as with the Dubonnet it was a bit sweet.

Decided to try this for a cocktail while having a Mexican Chili Verde dinner. Perfect. A little margarita; a little red wine. Outstanding with any Mexican food dinner.

Wow.. It is simple yet the Tequila makes a huge difference vis a vis Bourbon in a New York Sour. It is great!

I used del Maguey mezcal instead, the smokiness seemed more appropriate. Was lovely.

I love the idea of one of these tonight for Dia de los Muertos. I am going to modify it slightly to create a Margarita del Diablo, and the extra ingredient will be 1/2 oz of Ancho Reyes Verde Chile Poblano Liqueur to add a degree of spiciness. I'll post it all later!
