Ingredients:
1 12 oz Straight rye whiskey (100 proof /50% alc./vol.)
1 oz Strucchi Rosso Vermouth
12 oz Chili liqueur
2 dash Boker's bitters
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Coupe glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of 2 Luxardo Maraschino Cherries.
  3. STIR all ingredients with ice.
  4. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

I like the balance here. It doesn’t taste “spicy” per se. Just a long lingering heat in the mouth. A bit moreish because the finish makes you want to have another sip of the cold manhattan, only for the process to repeat. Finished mine way too fast as a result. Overall a fine way to mix up your manhattans for variety without compromising on its essence in any way. Makes it a bit more “manly” as well for those guests that let that prevent them from enjoying a classic manhattan.
