If you haven't got to grips with Scotch but like amaretto, try this delicately ginger almond combination.

As Blackbeard, the pirate whose real name was Edward Teach, was killed today (22 November) in 1718, I was challenged by a friend to make a cocktail with Teachers whisky. I based it on this drink. My recipe is 45ml Teacher, 25ml Pimento dram, 75ml ginger ale. I might need to experiment further with the proportions. I call it Blackbeard’s Adventure, because Blackbeard’s last ship was the “Adventure”.
Thank you very much indeed for the inspiration.
