Ingredients:
34 oz Gentian liqueur (e.g. Suze, Salers etc)
34 oz Akvavit / Aquavit
23 oz Lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
12 oz Americano bianco
13 oz Luxardo Maraschino liqueur
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Coupe glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of Luxardo Maraschino Cherry.
  3. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.
  5. Garnish with maraschino cherry.

Far from terrible, but on the given proportions the Suze completely overpowered the more delicate aquavit. I may try it again with different ratios, but as it is I am not a fan.

Like you, I find Suze overpowers a lot of drinks, but dialing it back to 2/3rds the amount called for, it was quite enjoyable.

Just made it with 2cl Suze Gentian Liqueur and 2.5cl of Akquavit, and added fresh Dill to the shake aswell as for the garnish, AWESOME!
