How to make

Glassware

Serve in an Old-fashioned glass

Prepare

Select and pre-chill an OLD-FASHIONED GLASS.
Prepare garnish of orange zest twist.

Method

STIR all ingredients with ice.
STRAIN into ice-filled glass.

Garnish

EXPRESS orange zest twist over the cocktail and use as garnish.

Looks the same as a classic Negroni - saturated red/crimson, and clear. If you enjoy Negroni variants you should try this out for yourself - it is pretty good. But, the lack of gin botanicals make this sweeter than the Negroni - it is nice but I prefer the original.

This was a quite good Negroni variation. The Tsipouro takes a back seat to the Campari, but not in an unpleasant way.
We also tried a Ouzo Negroni, which also worked very well. Basically a Negroni with anise instead of juniper.
