Ingredients:
1 12 oz Cointreau triple sec liqueur
12 oz Del Maguey Vida Clásico Mezcal
13 oz Monin Ginger Syrup
34 oz Lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
8 drop Bob's Grapefruit Bitters
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Coupe glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of grapefruit zest twist.
  3. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.
  5. EXPRESS grapefruit zest twist over cocktail and use as garnish.

Odd that they named this cocktail "Mezcalero" when the main spirit is NOT mezcal. Honestly, I was a bit underwhelmed by the cocktail. There is no "hero" ingredient as the smoky agave gets lost in the Cointreau. Wanted to like this, but will have to make modifications next time.

Didn't have ginger syrup, so I just melted down some candied ginger.

I really like the idea behind a triple sec cocktail with it as the main ingredient, and I like the flavour profile...but it was very sweet and very sour. Like in balanced amounts, but just an awful lot of both.

Absolutely delicious, i tried at my bar and my customers loved It!! I changed the bitters for angostura orange bitters and It worked perfecto!!! Citrus and complex due to Ginger flavour

A little bit unbalanced with the mezcal I used (Koch El) with the Cointreau a bit too forward. I upped the mezcal and added a coin of ginger root when I made it again.
