I guess cinnamon is a spice so spicy? However, I have amended to, "Sweet, tropical fruitiness is offset by the cinnamon-spiced rim."
That makes more sense. I will try this, mostly so I can put my little plastic monkeys to use for decoration. Cheers!

How is a cinnamon sugar rim spicy? Something doesn't make sense.
I would love to get some feedback on my first signature cocktail. Cheers!
Great drink, but just a bit too sweet and creamy - maybe I overpoured the Orgeat. I will try again, with just 1/4 oz Orgeat and mix in a 1/2 oz of Mezcal.
This looks nice. Should you muddle the raspberries?
I've also seen this with an egg white, but no orange juice. I'll have to do a taste-test to see which one is better.
Not being a fan of the smoky taste of mezcal, we lowered the amount of mezcal and substituted anejo tequila for the remainder. Used the rum. Very nice. The hint of smoky is fine, but for me it would have been overpowering using the full amount of mezcal. Very nice cocktail. It does have a mai tai flavours with a hint of tequila.
I totally agree, 1/2 oz of Mezcal is plenty, mixed with a nice reposado tequila. Anejo not needed.
I think I will make this for my wife, should be right up her alley, maybe a bit too sweet for me. We shall see.
