The Vida Mezcal unfortunately dominates everything. I don't really get the bitters, Suze or Lucano. The rye is there shaping the body of the mezcal but that's pretty much it. It's unfortunate. It's a pretty nice cocktail, but next time I'll halve the Vida.

I really enjoyed this with Salers and Amaro delle Terme. Definitely needs a large ice cube as it gets far too tame when diluted. I would actually think it would be more enjoyable up in a Nick and Nora.

The Suze and the Peloton de la Muerte mezcal I used didn’t really play nicely, but I’m convinced it would taste much better if I used my more precious Burrito Fiestero or Perro de San Juan, so I won’t make it again.
