Went with the slightly less assertive Cardamaro and, lacking cacoa powder, an extra couple of drops of Bob’s finest choc bitters. Superbly rich, flavoursome, lingering bitter-sweetness (like life), vinous, candied citrus and berry fruits.

Oh no, save your Cardamaro for a Brooklyn's Finest in which she will shine as the subtle and elegant queen that she is.

Love Cardamaro and it's wine based...no liquer tax in Washington State USA. Plus Bob's everything!

Good Scotch and good Vermouth make the difference. The Cocchi provides enough sweetness while the Cynar takes a back seat and does not overpower the Scotch and Cacao. The Cacao bitters (I put a full dash) puts this drink over the top. Well done, another winner. (5 of 8 of “Her Maj’s” Difford cocktails for the Jubilee)
