Review:

A befitting name for an Irish whiskey-based, banana flavoured and green-hued cocktail. Whiskey-laced banana chews with a touch of Italian bitter complexity.

Because they are fun and utterly unpretentious, we love slightly kitsch liqueurs such as Pisang Ambon and Midori, although we draw the line at green creme de menthe. This cocktail is fun and a bit faux serious at the same time. Lovely balance.

Simon, I haven't tried (or ever seen) the Pisang Ambon. I instead used Giffard Banane du Bresil. I also subbed Lucano for the Montenegro. I would imagine this didn't turn out quite like your creation, but what I'd made was pretty tasty, with every ingredient discernible. Any thoughts on how my result would compare to your recipe?
