Comments & Discussion

Yes, having read the comments i halved the Elderflower (even though it was Fiorente) and added 1/3 shot Lemon Juice. Absolut is the only vodka in the house but we here in Ireland do, at least, get the proper Zubrowka! Working on the 12:1 is just about Dry territory i only added 1/6 Noilly Prat. Which resulted in a floral/herby but not sweet little drink. Will continue experimenting.

Lovely with home made sweetgrass vodka. Better than the synthetic zubrowka available in the States.

Revisiting and found on the sweet side, so added an extra 5ml each of the bison and vermouth, putting more of the martini back into it. Overall lovely balance of the floral and sweet with herbal and mineral.

Changing it up, swapped in Reyka vodka for Grey Goose, and Fiorente for st Germain. Both helped reduce the sweetness issue, the vodka especially i think. Ketel one potentially even better but not in my cupboard tonight.

Loved it as per recipe: bison gras vodka adds grassy, peppery and vanilla background that lifts it above vodka martinis

Very nice cocktail. Is a bit on the sweet side. Did add a few drops of orange bitters, but still a little sweet for our tastes. Would probably take the advice below and add a 1/4 oz lemon

I added a few drops of orange bitters and 1/4 shot of lemon to this.
