A bit sweet, which was perfect for me. The fruity and floral woodiness makes for a wonderful drink with slight sweetness and slight spice. I used a mandarin twist because I had no oranges.

A nice riff of an old-fashioned. A touch on the sweet side for my liking (maybe it is because the Cognac does not overcome the sweetness like a Bourbon would) but I really enjoyed it. I will try it with a sugar cube next time.

Tried this with Menard VSOP and a flamed orange twist - went down *very* easily. Smooth; a wonderful, fruitier alternative to its whiskey based counterpart.
