Serve in an Old-fashioned glass

Ingredients:
1 23 oz Cachaça
2 oz Coconut water
1 oz Condensed milk
14 oz Lime juice (freshly squeezed)
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill an Old-fashioned glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of lime wedge.
  3. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. STRAIN into glass filled with crushed ice.
  5. (ALTERNATIVELY, BLEND all ingredients with crushed ice.)
  6. Garnish with lime wedge.

Originating from Brazil, in Portuguese, batida means shaken or milkshake. Along with the Caipirinha, the Batida could be considered the country's national drink. Both drinks are based on Brazil's national spirit, cachaça.

A surprisingly radiant cocktail…. The condensed milk with the coconut water etc gives a lovely silky texture and the lime juice just zings it up …

I tried this drink and found it to be refreshing but I do not think I will make it again because of the off putting flavor that coconut water has.
