Interesting that this Yellowjacket has the same name as the original reposado tequila, elderflower liqueur and Yellow Chartreuse based Yellowjacket cocktail from the original Employees Only bar, from the early 2000’s

It’s difficult to tell from this recipe how much watermelon to add, tbh. What is a “slice” or “segment” of watermelon?
I really like a Watermelon Margarita, using blanco tequila, acid-adjusted watermelon juice, Midori and some simple syrup.

I’m going to try Luis Fernandes’ recipe, which has Oak Aged Cachaça, Passion fruit Syrup, Sweetened Condensed Milk, Coconut Milk, Cinnamon, Lime Juice, and Amaro Montenegro, blended with ice.

I was out of Bourbon so used, and I’m almost embarrassed to admit this, Canadian Club whiskey, and I think the Campari overwhelmed this because of it. A better bourbon may have handled this better

This one is a sneaky little delight. Sneaky because I didn’t expect to like this as much as I do. The fruity sweetness and the slight bitterness is perfectly balanced.

Pineapple in cocktails is hard to beat in summer. I admit I don't really like the packaged juice available locally as although it's labelled as "Pineapple Juice" and "100% Juice", it's misleading because it's mixed with apple juice. It's not as good as fresh. But fresh pineapple juice is such a PAIN to produce.

Simon, why do many cocktail names in Difford's Guide have the word "Cocktail" in them? It never seems necessary. Another example is "El Diablo Cocktail", and Grand Duchess Cocktail

This is such an amazing cocktail. I was surprised by how Scotch shines with the help of the other distillates. Orgeat mingles with the other ingredients to the point of not being immediately recognizable. This is bound to be my sour of choice from now on.

This is absolutely fabulous. The little bit of Orgeat and simple syrup softens the strong liquors and makes this one of the most beautifully balanced and flavourful sours I’ve had. Wonderful
