Check the link above to the tequila based Yellowjacket. Cheers.
Yes you are right, I missed it.

Interesting that this Yellowjacket has the same name as the original reposado tequila, elderflower liqueur and Yellow Chartreuse based Yellowjacket cocktail from the original Employees Only bar, from the early 2000’s
It’s difficult to tell from this recipe how much watermelon to add, tbh. What is a “slice” or “segment” of watermelon?
I really like a Watermelon Margarita, using blanco tequila, acid-adjusted watermelon juice, Midori and some simple syrup.
I’m going to try Luis Fernandes’ recipe, which has Oak Aged Cachaça, Passion fruit Syrup, Sweetened Condensed Milk, Coconut Milk, Cinnamon, Lime Juice, and Amaro Montenegro, blended with ice.
This is so much nicer without the sparkling wine, in our humble opinions. Make it as per the recipe and just leave out the Champagne
So similar as to be the same. Room for a third with 50% of each juice!
Haha good idea. And how about calling it Cuban President!
Thanks, Ian. The only difference is that the Cuban Island is made with lemon juice. I've added a note above and linked the two cocktails.
Oh dagnamn. How did I miss that?
I was out of Bourbon so used, and I’m almost embarrassed to admit this, Canadian Club whiskey, and I think the Campari overwhelmed this because of it. A better bourbon may have handled this better
The Cuban Island and the General Vincent are identical

Interested that it is 40 brix. How does that compare to the ubiquitous Velvet, do you have an idea?
“Pavlovia”, Simon?
Beautiful! However id increase a bit the amount of vodka, 1 oz isnt enought, try it with 2 oz.
Yeah same
This is still great without the Champagne topper. I’d even go as far as saying it’s not needed
This one is a sneaky little delight. Sneaky because I didn’t expect to like this as much as I do. The fruity sweetness and the slight bitterness is perfectly balanced.
Oh boy this is a powerhouse Last Word riff. Fantastic. Why am I slurring my words now, though?
Pineapple in cocktails is hard to beat in summer. I admit I don't really like the packaged juice available locally as although it's labelled as "Pineapple Juice" and "100% Juice", it's misleading because it's mixed with apple juice. It's not as good as fresh. But fresh pineapple juice is such a PAIN to produce.
This is incredible. I like it even more than the standard PS martini. Smokey, not too sweet nor as cloyingly vanilla as the standard. It’s now in our favourites list
Hi Ian, thanks for spotting this. It should be tonic water and Simon has now corrected the method.
I guessed that and that is what I used
Hi Simon, is it tonic as in the ingredients, or soda as in the instructions?

Simon, why do many cocktail names in Difford's Guide have the word "Cocktail" in them? It never seems necessary. Another example is "El Diablo Cocktail", and Grand Duchess Cocktail
This is such an amazing cocktail. I was surprised by how Scotch shines with the help of the other distillates. Orgeat mingles with the other ingredients to the point of not being immediately recognizable. This is bound to be my sour of choice from now on.
Agree
This is absolutely fabulous. The little bit of Orgeat and simple syrup softens the strong liquors and makes this one of the most beautifully balanced and flavourful sours I’ve had. Wonderful
