History:

Created in February 2026 by yours truly and inspired by Bols 2026 "Neon Nights" Cocktail Battle, but named after "Neon Knights", a song by English heavy metal band Black Sabbath, released in June 1980 as the first single from their Heaven and Hell album. The cocktail's colour is similar to the dress of the card-playing smoking angel on the record sleeve.

Just came here to commend you for the Sabbath reference. Fortunately I don't have all the ingredients to try it.

Thanks, Andy. For the benefit of others, I've referenced Black Sabbath above.

One of the wildest drinks I've had. I could not imagine what flavor profile to expect. Tasty for sure, but nothing I'd have more than once. Even with only 10 ml, the mezcal dominates with sherry and pineapple in the background. Not as bitter as the three bitter components might suggest.
