History:

Adapted from a recipe created in 2014 by Jake Burger at The Portobello Star, London, England. Naturally, Jake's original recipe calls for Portobello Road Gin.

Elizabeth Angela Marguerite Bowes-Lyon (1900–2002), better known as Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, was the wife of King George VI and the mother of Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon. During WWII her spirit gave moral support to her subjects while in her later years she was viewed as matriarch to the Royal Family, enjoying public popularity throughout. She remained publicly active until just before her death at 101 years old, perhaps helped by her reputed love of gin and Dubonnet Red.

I love this cocktail. The splash of Jamaican OP rum is genius and is what makes this cocktail what it is. Now I want to try all stirred cocktails using red vermouth with some Jamaican funk.

This is delicious, and I am surprised it has not received a higher rating.

This is marvellous as an aperitif and I am surprised that it’s not been commented on yet.
