When made as suggested, with a Blended Irish Whiskey, I scored it a 4.5, but when made with a nice Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey (Redbreast) it goes up to a 5+

I made with a sugar syrup which was half light muscovado and golden caster sugars. Upped to 7.5ml of syrup and 5 dashes of Angostura with Powers Three Swallows whiskey. Excellent!

Recommend the version on liquor.com that uses benedictine as the sweetener - makes a 5* drink.

Very smooth. Notes of fruit. Used Bushmills Original. Great for evening sipping.

Same John. Perfect digestif after a greedily eaten Indian feast.
