Ingredients:
1 ¹⁄₂ oz	Hayman's London Dry Gin
³⁄₄ oz	Cointreau triple sec liqueur
³⁄₄ oz	Italian red bitter liqueur

Prepare:

Select and pre-chill an OLD-FASHIONED GLASS.
Prepare garnish of orange zest twist.

How to make:

STIR all ingredients with ice.
STRAIN into ice-filled glass.

Garnish:

EXPRESS orange zest twist over the cocktail and use as garnish.

Review:

Basically, a Negroni with liqueur replacing sweet vermouth. Like the Italian classic, this is both bitter and sweet.

Meh. The substitution of Cointreau for vermouth is interesting, but ultimately this lacks the complexity and depth of a classic Negroni. You'll just feel like you asked for a Negroni and the bartender was having an off day.

I agree. It sounded good on paper, but I found it to be disappointingly unbalanced.
