History:

In his 1930 The Savoy Cocktail Book, Harry Craddock includes three cocktails: The Frank Sullivan, Hoop La! and Odd McIntyre, with the same recipe repeated for each. Four years later, in his 1934 book 1700 Cocktails for the Man Behind the Bar, R. de Fleury also uses the same recipe for all three cocktail names. Exactly the name recipe, but under the name "Hey Hey", also appears in 1933 book Hollywood Cocktails and, a year later, in William T. Boothby's World Drinks And How To Mix Them. I've given each of the four a distinctive recipe, this one by yours truly in December 2025.

Really elegant...subtle and deep...beautifully balanced. We won't be tinkering with this one (as is our habit).
