I received the Easy Jigger as a Christmas gift and it quickly became my favorite jigger. Unfortunately after only 2 months of use it has developed a film on the clear plastic which is rather unsightly. It has only been hand washed and never been put in the dishwasher. I can’t use it when guests are over since it looks like it’s unwashed. Anyone else have this issue?

I have experienced citrus fruit, especially grapefruit juice having a similar effect on plastic squeezers, jugs etc. maybe it was this?

Please put your Easy Jigger in the dishwasher. One wash and it will look like new and, hopefully, will once again be your favourite jigger.

Absolutely great for at least two reasons: first, its a plastic jigger so won't break but also won't get affected by lemon juice, and second, it ends the doubts and mismatches with 'what's exactly a dash'? Perfect for exact tiny amounts.

I did have the base snap off of mine when I dropped it on the floor. Not mad about it, and immediately ordered another one, but, just a warning lol.

Hi, I hesitate to buy the updated version of your easy jigger and I find one on the french Amazon but I’d like to know if it is the upgraded version with the ink that doesn’t fade or the older one ?? Thanks in advance for the answer.

The present version is the updated one with the red ink protected by a special coating.

Just got this as a Father’s Day present. Finally takes the guess work out of those more specific measurements standard jiggers won’t cover. And having the measurements on the inside of the jigger… a game changer. A cocktail essential! Thanks for an amazing product Simon.

Thanks for your kind words. Making the Easy Jigger a reality was harder and more expensive than I dreamt it would be but pleased we persevered.

Absolutely essential, has become one of the most valuable parts of my home bar (alongside the Boston shaker itself of course!)

I ordered two these and picked them up yesterday. Jigger had always been the weak point of my tools. The double-sided ones make a little more mess than I'd like, the small ones are inadequate, and all of them make me squint and pour slowly to be precise.

These Difford jiggers are frigging awesome. I am so happy with them. Thank you for taking the time to develop these :)

You mentioned an updated model. What are the updates? Thanks
Simon Difford’s Avatar Simon Difford

The update was very early in our production and consists of a protective coating over red ink to help protect from wear. Importantly, the measure markings on the Easy Jigger are raised for longevity and part of the mould to ensure acracy. On lesser jiggers, they are just printed, so liable to movement during production.

I have had mine for quite a while now. I love it. The only problem is that the red on the markings has now faded to a light pink color. Getting much harder to read. I will have to replace it soon. Since I am in Europe, the post-Brexit import costs make it prohibitive to buy another one from the UK (or anywhere outside the EU actually). Too bad.

Thanks for the info. My wife is going to the States shortly. I will order a couple from Amazon. (I am assuming that they are selling the updated model. Is that a correct assumption?)

In a previous comment I lamented the lack of a 22.5ml line, a commonly specified volume. However, I realised last night that I can just turn it around and use the 3/4 oz mark instead. ??
Peter McCarthy’s Avatar Peter McCarthy

FWIW, 1 3/4 fl oz = 52.5 ml and 1 1/4 fl oz = 37.5 ml, for the other measurements that are only available in fl oz.

Been looking for something like this for a while and it looks perfect, shame it's not distributed in Australia yet. Not willing to spend $50 for it on Amazon

Hi Asher, you'll be able to purchase an Easy Jigger directly from Difford's Guide Australia really soon. Our first shipment has arrived in the country and we 're just working on the final logistics to make it available for sale.

Just indispensable. I bought the easy jigger more out of curiosity as "it was probably not going to be of any use to me given my superb collection of nice shiny metal jiggers." In the end... after a week... my great collection of metal jiggers ended up in the cupboard and I only use the easy jigger because it's easier, faster and more accurate. If one day there is a version 2, it would be nice to coat the inside with a food grade UV clear coat so that the sugar syrups flow better.

Thanks for the suggestion Ignacy, I'll look into adding UV coating to the next production run.

Agreed re 22.5ml but easily to estimate between 20ml and 25ml. I also wanted a 35ml but there's a limit to how many measures could be fitted in without sacrificing the oz option on the other side.

The only thing missing — if it is even possible — is a line for 22.5ml, a surprisingly common measure used on this site.

I've been using one for around 18 months now and while it's great for the measurements and it being clear helps, over the time the magnet at the bottom has rusted and warped the plastic slightly. It's doesn't stand very straight any more for how much I've used it it's good wear and tear. The bottom of the liquid holding part has some stains which are difficult to get to but honestly, it's my go to jigger. Great piece of kit

I had the same problem with stains on the bottom and sides of small volumes. The solution is a little washing up liquid plus boiling water and scrape with a small brush usually supplied with the metal straws and it goes away. Once a month use a 10% white vinegar solution to improve transparency.

Aus Buyers are not feeling the love here. I really don't understand why Brexit is stopping you from shipping to us alcoholic convicts down under. We have an Aus based rep plugging Difford's, so why can we buy stuff?

Hi Ben, we'd very much like our Easy Jiggers to be available in Australia, and are actively seeking a local distributor. In the meantime, we can of course ship to you from the UK, but international shipping costs are hugely expensive at the current time. Please email me at hello@diffordsguide.com if you'd like to go ahead with this option. Cheers

These are outstanding. Would highly recommend to everyone to use.
I am in the US. I ordered and paid for the international shipping. Worth every penny.
No more guessing about the small amounts. Easy to use and easy to read. I cannot say enough on how useful this is. Again, I would recommend you buy regardless to where you live. It is worth the investment.
