12 ring Yellow bell pepper (optional)
1 12 fl oz Ketel One Vodka
2 14 fl oz Tomato juice
13 fl oz Lustau Amontillado Los Arcos Sherry
13 fl oz Lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
14 fl oz Sugar syrup 'rich' (2 sugar to 1 water) 65.0°Brix
2 pinch Celery salt
3 grind Black pepper
8 drop Hot pepper sauce (red, vinegar-based e.g. Tabasco)
4 dash Worcestershire sauce

How to make

Glassware

Serve in a Collins glass

Prepare

  1. Select and pre-chill a COLLINS GLASS.
  2. RIM glass with salt (moisten outside edge with lime juice and dip into salt).
  3. Prepare garnish of skewered celery stalk, cherry tomato and yellow bell pepper slice.

Method

  1. MUDDLE bell pepper in base of shaker.
  2. Add other ingredients and ice then ROLL (rotate rather than shake shaker).
  3. FINE STRAIN into ice-filled glass. Use ice fresh from freezer (rather than ice-machine/ice-well) to fill glass to avoid unwanted dilution.

Garnish

  1. Garnish with skewered celery stalk, cherry tomato and yellow bell pepper slice.

Agreed re nixing sugar syrup. I subbed V8 and added a skosh of horseradish. I very much like the addition of the amontillado sherry.

We’ll see how the Easter crowd takes to it.

PS very glad for the servings feature allowing more than 4…my math is crap. ?
