History:

Adapted from a recipe created in 2016 by Andy Aitken and first published on his Proof Cocktails blog.

Lord Lucan (Richard John Bingham), the 7th Earl of Lucan, was a British peer and an Anglo-Irish aristocrat who disappeared after being named as the prime suspect in the bludgeoning to death of his children's nanny and the attempted murder of his wife, Veronica Duncan. This followed the collapse of their marriage and a bitter custody battle, and Veronica named Lucan as the attacker. His blood-stained car was found abandoned, but the police failed to find Lucan or his body. Despite reported sightings around the world, he was declared legally dead in 1999.
