History

Adapted from a recipe created in 2023 by Yanni Kehagiaras at Stoa in San Francisco, USA.

Review

This delightful cocktail is light and yet complex with dry, lightly salty sherry, a touch of herbal liqueur, and subtle peaty whisky. Finishes with faint green apple notes, hence the garnish.

I doubled up on the Laphroaig to add a bit more peat. A nice drink.

Tones down the minerality of manzanilla nicely. Pleasant and crisp

I was sceptical of the Scotch coming through in this drink because of the low volume, but it does shine. I will do this again. A nice low ABV balanced cocktail.

I like sherry drinks on occasion with dinner instead of beer or wine. This one went very well with Asian cuisine. I would think this one would be nice with appetizers or any place you would have a dry sherry. The 1/2 tsp of Scotch changes the flavor significantly.
