Tequila replaces gin in this Negroni variation. Not an easy option.

I'm drinking this thinking, "Why would anyone conceive this, and even try to pass it off as a Negroni spin..." I cannot perceive any notable trace of tequila in this. Too rolled over in the undertow... Specs need to be severly adjusted in favor of a showcase tequila for this to be anything especial.

Interesting :) Stirred first. Garnished with orange zest. Definitely not tequila forward. By these measures, not a pedroni, but maybe pedroncino :) I’ll try to increase ratio of tequila next time.

A nice spin on the Negroni. Reposado flavor is not forward, but a nice combination of bitter and “half sweet” from the punt a mes.

I liked it more than Simon did. Definitely bitter (I might sub regular vermouth fort the Punt e Mes next time) but nice. Dilution helped...I would stir first rather than making it in the glass. And the orange twist was a great topper.
