Funny that it is a Sputnik, but has no vodka. I think this is pretty good, better than a generic screwdriver, but not great. I added 3 dashes of orange bitters and thought that helped amp up the orange flavor, and improved by rating by 1/2 star. I'd serve (and drink) this any day before a Mimosa.

Tried this combination and found it quite smooth and balanced, if a little on the one dimensional side. A good drink for just wanting something simple and enjoyable, as it's not the most stimulating flavor profile. The cognac and rum balance out almost perfectly, leaving the orange to really shine through; I would definitely recommend using good orange juice. Will try highballing this one next time, I think the flavor is perfectly suited for carbonation and some extra volume.

So how did it go with the highballing?
