Serve in a Double old-fashioned

Ingredients:
5 fresh Blackberries
1 12 oz Ketel One Vodka
56 oz Lime juice (freshly squeezed)
23 oz Joseph Cartron Double Crème de Cassis de Bourgogne
16 oz Monin Pure Cane Syrup (65.0°brix, equivalent to 2:1 rich syrup)

Garnish: Fresh blackberry sat heroically atop crushed ice summit (it survived the muddler to reach its peak)

How to make:

MUDDLE blackberries in base of shaker. Add other ingredients, SHAKE with ice and fine strain into glass filled with crushed ice. Serve with a cut-down paper straw.

Had run out of vodka so used bison grass vodka instead. A lucky accident - really complements the blackberry flavours

If you fine strain, why are there blackberry seeds (in picture)? I received some blackberries from my CSA and need a tasty way to use them other than pie!

It's a very old and bad image shot some 20 years ago (No. 241 on our database). Looks like it was built in the glass. I'll reshoot and replace image.
