shot Dewar's 12 Year Old Scotch whisky
shot Sloe Gin liqueur
½ shot Freshly squeezed lemon juice
shot Sugar syrup (2 sugar to 1 water)
1 dash La Fee Parisienne absinthe BUY
1 dash Angostura Orange Bitters BUY

How to make:

SHAKE all ingredients with ice and fine strain into chilled glass.

Garnish:

Luxardo Maraschino cherry

Comment:

A presently fruity cocktail with equal parts scotch and sloe liqueur shaken with lemon juice and a dash of absinthe.

Origin:

Adapted form a drink created in the early 20th century by Charlie Mahoney, head bartender at New York’s Hoffman House Hotel.
