Less eggy and more gin oriented than Grannie"s Cocktail but, I am not sure it's better. I did like both.

Festively delicious! I used the Four Pillars spiced negroni gin and it gives it a lovely gingery note. Also I just love nutmeg - 1 additional star guaranteed for containing nutmeg.

Nice to know not everything related to advocaat needs to be overly sweet. A delicious alternative to the snowball.

Where it says "English granny's Christmas cocktail", the text "Christmas cocktail" links to this very same page. I suspect this should be a link to the "20 Christmas Cocktails" page linked in the "History" section.

Have had a good run with recipes here recently but I'm afraid it hit a speed bump here. I'll admit up front I'm a bourbon guy rather than a gin fan, but this was a meh for me. My wife, who is a gin fan, liked it. It's not a bad drink by any means--I agree it's well balanced--it's just not one I'll personally be making again.
