Serve in an Old-fashioned glass

Ingredients:
1 23 oz Del Maguey Vida Clásico Mezcal
1 23 oz Strucchi Dry Vermouth
4 drop Difford's Margarita Bitters
× 1 1 serving

Prepare:

  1. Select and pre-chill an OLD-FASHIONED GLASS.
  2. Prepare garnish of skewered caperberry.

How to make:

  1. STIR all ingredients with ice.
  2. STRAIN into ice-filled glass (preferably over a large cube or chunk of block ice).

  1. Garnish with skewered caperberry.

With gin, my go-to stirred Dry Martini recipe is five-to-one, but that's way too much when using mezcal – a Fifty-Fifty Martini is more befitting. Rather than straight-up, I also prefer my Mezcal Martinis on-the-rock(s).

Slightly dry for me but not bad. Afraid I didn’t have a caperverry sorry.

Hmm...this is interesting, an aquired taste might I dare say? And I certainly aquired a taste for it a few sips in. Very dry and perhaps savory with quite a complex combination of flavors. Thanks Simon!
