We like our Martinis on the sumptuous side. So we make this one with the Patron Tequila, as specified; but for the Mezcal we use Del Maguey Crema de Mezcal and for the Americano Bianco we use Sirene Aperitivo. For us, this is about as good as it gets with a Martini.

I used to make this often for people that "didn't like" mezcal, it was always great seeing their smiles after this drink won them over.

Tried this with a barspoon of agave syrup and three drops of chocolate bitters (Fee's Aztec chocolate bitters are so strong and their dasher is so bad that an eyedropper with them is ideal) and the flavour is absolutely spectacular. This is absolutely a modern classic.

What a wonderful cocktail. Perfect with Mexican appetizers and before a Southwestern USA-based supper. Wonderful balance and a slight hint of smoke.

A bar spoon of agave syrup helps this one feel a bit fuller in the middle, but a very good drink overall.

Or test Tequila Reposado instead of blanco, slightly sweet edge and vanilla notes do it for me.

Blown away by this one. The sum of whole is greater than its parts. Adding this to the regular rotation.

Tried this for the first time tonight. Absolutely stunning drink. Would have this over the classic version every time. 5+ for me. ????
