Fantastic Brooklyn riff! There are many, but this one is terrific. I cannot believe I've not had it before. Original used Chamomile infused rye. It is not needed, however.

Thought the Yellow Chartreuse would be drowned out but it provides a surprisingly pleasant herbal accent. The vermouth is actually the ingredient that's getting kind of drowned out. It obviously thins out the drink, and provides some needed acidity, but flavorwise it gets behind the rye.

Kind of fun cocktail. It's not just a riff on a Manhattan but also does something new with the bitter+rye+vermouth formula. I wish we could give a more granular score here because this, for me, is a solid 4.25/5.

Ohh I just remembered a cocktail that this reminded me of – the Montreal Cocktail. It's a severely underrated cocktail with equal parts rye, Aperol, Suze and gin. If you like this I'd definitely recommend trying that one out.

Great substitute for a Manhattan when you feel like having something a little bit different

Oops... used sweet (red) vermouth. Worked out well!
