Enjoyed this for New Years Day evening celebration. First time reverse shaking…only had Cocoa powder but was an excellent garnish!

It’s been my tradition to have a brandy alexander while my wife and I decorate the Christmas tree. Been doing that for years, until last when when I discovered all the Alexander variations. This year I tried this example and it leaves me flat. There just seem to be much to it. I added a half ounce of crème de cacao, which helped, but still doesn’t compete against my current favorite, the Hazelnut Alexander.

A glass of Irish cream - extended by the brandy and cream, so a little thinner, but the cocktail is full of classic Irish cream flavor. One of the better "Alexander" variants - I prefer this to a brandy Alexander.

Tasty! I get a slight "bite" from the brandy, but it's balanced out by the creaminess, nuttiness, and chocolate.

I love a classic Brandy Alexander and this tastes very much like it, but the Irish cream gives it a slight nuttiness, and it's a bit sharper (not in a bad way) without chocolate smoothing the edges. A delicious drink that makes me want to experiment with all the other Alexander recipes.

I used Strawberries and Cream Bailey's. Was underwhelming, being a slightly less sweet version of the aforementioned liqueur. Is not using the standard Bailey's to blame for the drink being underwhelming?

There’s no egg white in the list of ingredients, so wondering if DRY SHAKING should be removed from the instructions, or is it egg white that should be added to the ingredients?

Egg white is a great addition. Dry shake first!

I love Alexanders for an after dinner drink. This is wonderful. The Irish Cream adds a almost coffee liqueur chocolate type flavour. Great drink.
