Adapted from a recipe in Sloppy Joe's Cocktail Manual Season 1931 - 32. Named after the American actor Douglas Elton Fairbanks Sr. (1883 - 1939), famous for his swashbuckling roles in silent films. He married actress and film producer Mary Pickford in 1920 (who also has a cocktail named after her) and the couple soon became "Hollywood royalty" with Fairbanks being called "The King of Hollywood."

Delightful. Light with a hint of fruit. Did find it a bit sweeter than I was expecting. Would adjust the Rye (up) or the Apricot (down).

Essentially a Rye whiskey sour with apricot Liqueur instead of sugar syrup? Nice variation if you want something a little more complex than a standard whiskey sour. The apricot is subtle. The saline solution is an interesting touch; I definitely get a bit of saltiness on the back-end that cuts the citrus/sour short.
