Ingredients:
2 oz Light white rum (charcoal-filtered 1-4 years old)
12 oz Strucchi Rosso Vermouth
12 oz Lime juice (freshly squeezed)
14 oz Dutch Cacao white crème de cacao
16 oz Monin Grenadine Syrup
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Coupe glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of lime wedge.
  3. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.
  5. Garnish with lime wedge.

History:

The origins of this Daiquiri No. 2 with vermouth and crème de cacao are unknown. Although subtitled "El Floridita-style," this cocktail should not be confused with the Daiquiri No. 2 created by Constantino "Constante" Ribalaïgua Vert, who owned Havana's famous El Floridita from 1918 to 1952.

Interesting, but cacao and lime are sorrily not my preferred combination.

Suspected the sweet red vermouth might taste odd in this cocktail. Suprisingly well balanced by the white creme de cacao and grenadine. Some tannin(?) bitterness. Will try substituting some bianco vermouth. A lot of potential here.
