Perfectly balanced. Go easy with the built in dasher on the Peychaud bottle. I definitely got too much for my two dashes. On the dry side, rich, intense and fruity. Even a little smokey in character.

The orange twist is important in providing a relieving lift here.

I'm confused... it's called the "Ruby Manhattan", but then uses tawny rather than ruby port.

I assume referring to the colour. The tawny port definitely works.

Not a Manhattan fan, but this alone may make me say otherwise.

Have you tried the cherry Manhattan? Especially if your tastes extend to sweet things.

Of all the Manhattan variations I have tried. This is the best for my taste. Not overly sweet and perfectly balanced.

love variations on the Manhattan - will try this with maybe a triple sec - as i am not buying another one off liquor for the apricot

Ah, but with the apricot liqueur, you can also have the related (and delicious) Sunset Park. Or just add a dash to a nice martini.

Good looking. Apricot Jammy without being overly sweet. Decent drink deserving more reviews. I liked it.
