Review:

Having tried the Tommy's version of this cocktail, (which as it doesn't have an orange liqueur is actually a "Tequila Sour",) I wanted to make it into a 'real' Margarita with a triple sec liqueur and a touch of added chili spice.

Hmm...the Tommy's version has 15ml Agave (too much for us) and this one none (too little, if that can be said about none). So we added a mere 2.5ml Agave...still lovely and dry but more rounded for us.

Needs some additional sweetness. Recommend adding agave syrup or simple to taste.

My favourite drink. I have made my own Chilli tequila by adding Birds Eye chilli peppers into a fresh bottle of blanco tequila. So I replace the chili liqueur for chilli tequila. I really like Mezcal so my split is 30ml Mezcal to 20ml Chilli Tequila.
Pink Himalayan salt for the rim and an chilli pepper or slice of depending on size as garnish in addition to the wedge of lime.
Perfection in a glass!

Very dry but tasty. Definitely a “grown up” cocktail!
