Ingredients:
1 23 oz Bourbon whiskey
14 oz Cointreau triple sec liqueur
14 oz Giffard Crème de Mûre liqueur
34 oz Lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
16 oz Monin Pure Cane Syrup (65.0°brix, equivalent to 2:1 rich syrup)

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill an Old-fashioned glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of orange wheel slice and skewered blackberry (sail).
  3. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. STRAIN into ice-filled glass.

Adapted from a recipe created in 2019 by Franky Marshall in New York City, USA. Franky's original recipe called for 60ml (2oz) bourbon and didn't include sugar syrup.

Spectacular. Very nice balance of sweet and sour, fruit and spirits. So refreshing —I'll have to go slow with this one!

I've added my own version of this recipe which removes the orange liqueur (Cointreau) in favor of showcasing more of the mure and accentuating the spicy citrus character of the orange by adding orange bitters and orange peels to the shake. It better suits my loud taste. (2 Jul 2022, 12:53p)
