The Sensation notably appeared in Harry Craddock's 1930 The Savoy Cocktail Book:
"Sensation Cocktail.
3 Dashes Maraschino
3 Sprigs Fresh Mint.
¼ Lemon Juice.
¾ Dry Gin.
Shake well and strain into cocktail glass."
However, our recipe is adapted from Stan Jones' 1977 Jones' Complete Bar Guide:
